I bought this after searching and trying several options for the purple Hookit dust extraction blocks. Nothing I found before would fit well on the dust port, or would fit but was far too rigid and required stacks of adapters that felt like they’d snap off under even minimal use.This hose kit includes 1 adapter, but it’s not needed for the purple hookit blocks. The hose slides onto the port of the purple block, and is surprisingly snug without any kind of clamp.The hose itself is very flexible, light and thin. It actually feels like a piece of plastic wire loom without the slit. That’s great for flexibility with the blocks and I can use the block without really even feeling the hose. For durability, I can’t imagine the hose will last very long especially if it gets stepped on or pulled around sharp edges. I think the dust extractor will have to be turned down to low to avoid collapsing the hose.The vacuum side adapter is tapered and rubberized so it should fit in many vacuum ports. It fits fine in my Milwaukee dust extractor (a nilfisk attix style unit).My main complaint for this item is that it’s too expensive for what it is. Mirka makes a hose set that looks exactly the same as this for around 1/4 the price, but I haven’t tried that one so the hose may not be the same.
